Taking into consideration the whole scenario and the plea made by the concerned MBBS aspirants, the MCI has allowed a one-time exemption for these candidates from taking the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET scheduled to be conducted on September 13, 2020. This exemption can be considered as only a one-time measure for 2020 due to such a great extent of the widespread pandemic. From next year onwards no such claims can be made.

As in many countries abroad the medical admissions have either already commenced or are in process of completion soon, many medical aspirants who wish to pursue MBBS abroad were left in a lurch with no official documents in hand to start their MBBS admission process abroad.
