Andijan State Medical Institute was established in 1955 in the city of Andijan, Uzbekistan. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, Uzbekistan the Institute is recognised by World health Organization (WHO), National Medical Commission of India (NMC) and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS).

The institute prepares students at the Therapeutic, Paediatric, and Dental faculties, Advanced Training and Retraining of Physicians in fields of professional education, high qualified nurses, preventive medicine, pharmacy, as well as in 29 specialties of Master’s degrees program. 870 staff works at the institute at present, including 533 professorial-teaching staff in 56 departments.

Andijan State Medical Institute has trained more than 13000 physicians (including 800 clinical interns, 1116 masters, 200 postgraduates and 20 doctoral students) in various fields. The Institute has all conditions for training foreign students to become highly qualified specialists with presently, students from India, Bangladesh, Korea and Russia studying at the Institute in various specialities.

ENROLLMENT CRITERIA

No entrance exam is required for studying MBBS in Andijan State Medical Institute for International Students. Students also do not need to qualify any English language proficiency exams like IELTS, TOEFL, CPE etc. To enrol at an Uzbek University all international applicants must only meet the minimum requirements for admission into the particular course in their own Country.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Successful completion of higher secondary school, if applying for MBBS course
Completion of tertiary education, if applying for Post-Graduate degree.
Guarantee of the fulfilment of payment conditions.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

For the Uzbekistan students, the language of instruction is Uzbek
Foreign/Indian students can choose between Uzbek or English medium.
All the lectures, practical, laboratory studies, seminars, tests, examinations, state examinations for English medium candidates are conducted in English only.

EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES

The Study rooms, lecture halls and laboratory rooms at Andijan State Medical Institute are equipped with modern teaching equipments (computer, projector, smart TV, electronic whiteboard, laboratory equipment, electronic forms in the visual laboratory). The simulation training center of the Institute is equipped with new robots, phantoms, which contribute to the students mastering practical skills in various subjects.

PRACTICAL EXPOSURE

The Institute Clinic has the capacity of 700 beds for practical training of Medical students. It is equipped with modern diagnostic equipments (MRT, Doppler, Scanners, endoscopes etc.) and has affiliations of republican Centres on Vertebrology, Lymphology and Cardiac Surgery. The Institute has all the necessary prerequisites for training process and research work on high level.
