Who can study MBBS abroad

 

MBBS is a dream for every students and Parents, also studying MBBS in abroad is very high expectations for everyone. The popular country options for MBBS abroad includes: Russia, China, Georgia, Philippines, British Guyana, Caribbean Islands, different EU countries, UK, Australia, USA (for MD), Canada (for MD), our neighboring countries like Bangladesh and Nepal.

Who can study MBBS abroad:

  • A student who has completed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 50%
  • A student whose parents or sponsor can afford the cost of whole programme starting from Rs 12 lacs from their own savings or education loan
  • For studying in English speaking countries, IELTS examination score of 7 bands overall with no band less than 6.5 is generally required
  • For other countries, IELTS is not required.

Whether any entrance examination required separately:

Few countries require the students to take their own entrance examination for MBBS study, but there are many countries where you do not need any entrance examination.

Russia, China, Ukraine, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh – No Direct admission to the MBBS programme. NEET compulsory.

Philippines–Student takes admission to Pre-medical study (BS programme) for 1 year to 1.5 years which also covers preparation for the entrance examination in Philippines, named NMAT. Students can appear for two to three times for NMAT during BS programme. The examination is conducted twice a year in Oct/Nov or Mar/Apr. Once cleared, student joins the MBBS study for 4 years. If the student is unable to clear the examination during pre-med course, then provisional admission to MBBS university is given; but student will have to clear the NMAT with another two chances; so all together students get 5 chances to clear NMAT. IELTS not required.

Nepal – Students need to take admission for the selected university and then need to take the entrance examination. For this year the examination registration will happen till 18th of July 2017; students who have taken the admission to the Nepal medicine schools prior to 18th July will take the examination in Nepal later.

Whether NEET ranking is considered?

MUST.

How much is the study cost in these countries?

Cost varies from country to country. But for total study cost (for full duration) ranges from Rs 12 lacs to 70 lacs maximum (not considering UK, USA, Canada, Australia, NZ). Living cost separate.
