NEET UG 2020 Counselling Registration starts from 27th October: Check the important details


Medical Counselling Committee, MCC has released the counselling schedule of NEET 2020 on the official website mcc.nic.in. MCC of DGHS will be responsible for allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice. The counselling would be conducted for admission to 15% all India quota, AIQ seats and the seats offered by Central and Deemed Universities, AIIMS and JIPMER institutes.

Application for NEET – UG Counselling, 2020 can only be submitted online any other mode of application submission will be rejected. Candidates can submit NEET-UG Counselling, 2020 application/registration form only once. Any candidate submitting application more than once shall be debarred from NEET-UG Counselling allotment process, his/her candidature shall be cancelled.

Candidates who had earlier applied under Indian/Others category and now wish to apply under Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Quota may change their status to that of NRI.

NEET UG COUNSELLING PROCESS


STEP 1: Registration

  1. Visit the official website of MCC and click on ‘New Registration’.
  2. After entering all the required information, a new Roll No. and Password will be generated. Use these credentials to register for NEET Counselling.
  • Log on to the MCC website and click on ‘Candidate Login’ and Enter your Roll Number and Password.
  1. You will be redirected to a new page where you will have to enter details like Name, Roll No., Registration No., Mother’s Name, Contact No., etc. When you’re done, click on ‘Submit’.
  2. After this, you will be shown all your details as per the NTA database. Verify the information and click on ‘Confirm Registration’.
  3. After confirmation, a Registration Slip will be generated. Candidates are advised to take a printout for future reference.

STEP 2: Counselling Fee Payment

At the time of registration, students have to pay a refundable and a non-refundable fee. Candidate can do online payment by Net Banking/credit card/ debit card only after making the payment as per choice. Only after the successful payment candidate proceeds for choice filling.

For (15% All India Quota)/ Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi)/AFMS & ESI:

  • Non Refundable Registration fee:
    • 1000/- (UR candidates)
    • 500/- For SC/ ST/OBC/ PH candidates
  • Refundable security amount:
    • 10, 000/- (UR candidates)
    • 5,000/- For SC/ ST/OBC/ PH candidates

For Deemed Universities:

  • Non Refundable Registration fee: Rs. 5000/-(For all candidates)
  • Refundable Security amount: Rs. 2, 00, 000/-

For both AIQ and for Deemed University:

  • Non Refundable Registration fee: Rs. 5000/-(For all candidates)
  • Refundable Security amount: Rs. 2, 00, 000/-

STEP 3: Choice Exercising & Locking 

  1. Candidates will have to fill the choice of course and give preferences of the college/institute they wish to get admission.
  2. There is no limit to the number of choices a candidate can fill.
  3. However, choices should be in the order of the candidates’ preference.
  4. Candidates are advised to lock the choices in due time, failing which the choices will be locked automatically.

STEP 4: Seat Allotment

  1. The authorities will release the seat allotment list for NEET candidates in which they can check which college is allotted to them.
  2. Candidates will have to download the seat allotment letter.

STEP 5: Reporting to the Allotted College

  1. In the final step, candidates will have to report to the allotted college with their NEET allotment letter to complete the admission formalities.


DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF REPORTING


Original documents (along with attested photocopies of documents) require for admission to under-graduate medical courses at 15% of total seats on All-India basis at the time of joining in allotted Medical/Dental College are:

  1. Allotment Letter issued by MCC
  2. Admit Cards of Exam issued by NTA
  3. Result/ Rank letter issued by NTA
  4. Date of Birth Certificate (if Metric Certificate does not bear the same)
  5. Class 10th Certificate
  6. Class 10+2 Certificate
  7. Class 10+2 Marks Sheet
  8. Eight (8) Passport size photograph same as affixed on the Application Form
  9. Provisional allotment letter generated on-line
  10. Proof of identity (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving Licence/ Passport)
  11. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD certificate (if applicable)

Additional Documents for NRI candidates

  1. For NRI/ OCI candidates appearing for Deemed Universities following documents are mandatory:
  2. Passport copy of sponsorer, embassy certificate
  3. Sponsorship affidavit (stating that sponsorer is ready to bear the expenses for the whole duration of the study)
  4. Relationship Affidavit (Relation of Candidate with the sponsorer)
