The main Teaching Hospital of 550-bed capacity is located at Kohalpur, 10 km away from the basic Science campus.

HOSTEL FACILITIES AT NEPALGUNJ MEDICAL COLLEGE


The hostels at Nepalgunj Medical College provide comfortable and homely atmosphere for the students.

There are two hostel campuses: one at Chispani and other at Kohalpur.

Both hostel campuses have separate hostels and mess facilities for girls and boys inside the campus.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR INDIAN STUDENTS AT NEPALGUNJ MEDICAL COLLEGE

The following is the minimum MBBS in Nepal eligibility criteria for admission of an Indian student at Nepalgunj Medical College:

Candidate must submit his/her application online ONLY. There is no provision for manual submission of application.

  • Application forms have to be submitted online on the institute’s website: entrance.bpkihs.edu
  • Scanned copies of all the essential original certificates/documents, photo & signature must be uploaded along with the application.
  • The full signature of the selected candidate will be verified at the time of entrance examination and admission.

PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST 

Only the names of candidates who have scored 50% marks (cut off mark) and above will be included in the merit lists and will be eligible for counseling.

There will be three merit lists as follows

  • Nepalese Reserved Category (MBBS/BDS : HSTFS/PSTFS)

COUNSELING PROCEDURE AT B.P. KOIRALA INSTITUTE OF HEALTH SCIENCES

  • All qualified candidates must be physically present at the time of counseling in the counseling hall (Auditorium Hall of BPKIHS). Candidates must arrive on time.
  • Candidates are required to bring their original certificates /documents to be eligible to attend the counseling session.

The names of the candidates will be called in the order of merit and the candidate will be given the opportunity to choose from the available seats and programs.

Failure to deposit the original certificates as listed above will lead to immediate cancellation of the admission and the vacant seat will be offered to the next candidate in the merit list in the counseling session.

COUNSELING SCHEDULE

  • International Day 1: International Category including Indian Nationals
  • Nepalese Day 2: Candidates having rank 1 to 600 in the Merit list.
  • Day 3: Candidates having rank 601 to 1200 in the Merit list. (If the seats are not fulfilled on day 2) and all reserved categories.
  • Day 4: Candidates having rank 1201 onwards in the Merit list. (If the seats are not fulfilled on day 3) Subsequent counseling will be done in the same order.

REPORTING TO B.P. KOIRALA INSTITUTE OF HEALTH SCIENCES

The list of successful candidates after counseling will be made available at the following sites on the same day:

The successful candidates along with their parent(s) are required to report to the Academic Administration, BPKIHS, Dharan within the stipulated date and time for completing admission formalities, viz. medical check-up, payment of fees and agreement.

If the candidate does not come in person, the admission process will not proceed.

Please note that it will take about three days to get complete report of the Medical Check-up, and therefore the candidates should contact the Academic Administration, BPKIHS, Dharan as early as possible.

If any candidate selected for admission fails to join the course for any reason by the last date, his/her place will be filled in the subsequent counseling.
