The Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA) was opened on 1 September 1939 in the city of Bishkek (formerly Frunze), Kyrgyzstan, with the recruitment of 200 students. The General medicine programme is aimed to produce physicians (MD) with the specialization in the selected area. The programme is built up in accordance with standards accepted by medical universities of CIS and Europe.
