Last Chance- study MBBS abroad without NEET 2019

India only offers around 60,000 medical education seats in total for both govt and private colleges, which makes it imperative for many candidates to pursue medical education abroad. In the bid to relieve Medical aspirants who are interested in pursuing MBBS abroad this year the Medical Council of India(MCI) with the approval of the Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi has decided to make some positive amendments in “Screening Test Regulations, 2002” and “Eligibility Requirement for taking admissions in an Undergraduate Medical Course in a Foreign Medical Institution Regulation, 2002″ on 5th April 2019.

As per the notification, the Board of Governors considered the matter and the following decision has been implemented-

“Indian students/OCI, who have not qualified NEET-2018 and/or registered in NEET- 2018 and intending to take admission in MBBS or equivalent medical course in foreign medical institutions are exempted until the declaration of NEET-2019 results, which is scheduled to be declared on 5th June 2019. However, such candidates have to obtain an eligibility certificate from the Medical Council of India u/s 13(4B) of the IMC Act, 1956”.

This new rule comes as a welcome move as it will allow the students aspiring to study medicine in foreign countries at MCI approved medical institutions affiliated by their respective governments with ease. This is an excellent opportunity if you have been considering to study MBBS abroad at top medical universities.

The average admission process takes 6-12 months to get through in many institutions abroad. Along with managing finances and visa processing more time may get consumed. If the students can start their applications early without NEET2019 results by obtaining an Eligibility Certificate from MCI their year won’t get wasted.

With the low number of seats out there, there’s no guarantee of admission if you apply late. Therefore ascertain your medical seat with a guarantee first and forget all your worries. Then continue processing your Indian application. It doesn’t cost anything (except for the registration fees) to start out the application.
