NEET-UG 2020 EXAM POSTPONED TILL LAST WEEK OF MAY DUE TO COVID-19 LOCKDOWN


NEET-UG 2020 is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognised Medical/Dental & other Colleges/ Institutes in India.

The Online Correction window for NEET-UG 2020 Application Form was operational on the website ntaneet.nic.in from 13/03/2020 to 19/03/2020 (up to 12.00 AM). But in view of the hardships faced by the parents and the students due to COVID-19 epidemic, the National Testing Agency has released notice on its official website on 27th March 2020 and has decided to postpone the NEET-UG 2020 examination which was earlier scheduled to be held on the 3rd May 2020.

The Admit Cards for the Examination that were to be issued on 27th March 2020 will now be issued after 15th April 2020. Depending upon the situation the dates for the release of the admit cards will be declared.

As of now the NEET-UG 2020 examination is proposed to be held in the last week on May 2020. But depending upon the situation that too may change. NTA has advised young students to utilise this time for preparing for the Examination and focus on critical concepts.

Candidates will be informed individually through their registered mobile number/ email-id. They can also contact at the official numbers provided in the notice for any further clarification. For latest updates keep visiting the NTA website.

NEET PG 2020: ALL INDIA & STATE COUNSELLING POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19 OUTBREAK



In view of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and in compliance with the  advisory issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, the All India & State Counselling has been postponed till further notice. NEET PG 2020 was conducted on January 5 for admission to various MD/MS/MDS and Diploma courses across the country for the 50% AIQ/Deemed/Central Universities/AFMS seats .

MCC has been regularly issuing notices on its website regarding the PG 2020 counselling.

The registration for first round of counselling has been completed between March 12 to 23, 2020, but the Seat Allotment/Processing that was supposed to start from 25 March 2020 and Result Declaration for Round-1 of NEET-PG Counselling 2020 will remain suspended till further orders. There is no update about the Reporting Round and subsequent Rounds of Counselling.

The counselling is held separately for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, and for the remaining seats under State Quota. As the All India counselling runs in tandem with the State Counselling hence, the State counselling authorities have been advised to postpone their Counselling till any new notice is issued.

The MCC and its offices would be operating at reduced staff strength as per the Advisory of DoPT. For further updates and notification regarding the schedule and resumption of All India and State Counselling, candidates are advised to keep in touch with MCC and regularly visit the official website: www.mcc.nic.in or www.intramcc.nic.in

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has started inviting applications from 17th March 2020 for the admission to its MD/MS courses for the PGIMER-July 2020 SESSION. Eligible candidates can apply for the PGIMER 2020 entrance exam till April 16. You can deposit the fees through online payment gateway available at MD/MS application portal w.e.f. 17.03.2020 till 16.04.2020. PGIMER, Chandigarh is expected to conduct the examination on May 23, 2020 in Single shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, no change in exam schedule has been announced as of now.

Increased MD/MS seats matrix

The Tentative seat matrix for July session has been updated on the official website along with the Online application and Information Brochure. There has been increase in the total number of seats for the PGIMER-July 2020 SESSION total 295 seats for MD/MS courses in comparison to the number of seats for the PGIMER-January 2020 SESSION which was 207 seats only.

AFMS PG Counselling is held offline including medical examination of candidates.

Notice for Withdrawal of Seats from NEET PG 2020

Information to all candidates about the withdrawal of seats erroneously updated by the colleges to MCC for Round 1 NEET PG Counselling was released on 18th March 2020. Candidates are advised not to fill choices for the following Medical colleges’ seats during choice filling.

Central Universities Eligibility

PGIMER MD/MS 2020 [July Session] Online Application has started: Know the Important Dates



The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has started inviting applications from eligible candidates for the admission to its MD/MS courses for the PGIMER-July 2020 SESSION. Admission to various postgraduate courses conducted at the Institute is made twice a year.

The Institute follows a Residency Service-cum-Training Scheme. Candidates admitted to MD/MS courses are called Junior Residents. The admission to the above courses of the Institute is made on merit on all India basis, by holding an entrance test by the Institute, after issuing a countrywide admission notice.

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research was conceived and planned in 1960. It was declared an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament (Sr. No. 51 of 1966) w.e.f. 1st April 1967.

HOW TO FILL PGIMER MD/MS 2020 [JULY SESSION] APPLICATION FORM


Steps involved in the filling of the application form of MD MS Entrance exam include registration, candidate login, etc. The steps are mentioned below.

STEP 1: MD/MS REGISTRATION

Candidates are required to apply online through website www.pgimer.edu.in only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted and there shall be no need to submit any hard copies of the uploaded documents.

  • Visit the Official website
  • Then click on the Specific “Exam Name” for which you want to fill the application form
  • Then click on `New Registration’ and you will be directed to a registration form page
  • The entries in registration form cannot be changed once submitted, hence, ensure that you enter the required information as below correctly.
  • Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID and a valid mobile number.
  • On Successful Completion of registration, an application sequence No. and password will be generated. (User id & password shall be received on e-mail and mobile number)

Registration Form

On the Registration page, Applicant must select exam category and fill their Name, Contact Number and Email ID for registration.

  • Name of Candidate: This should be the same as on valid government id proof.
  • Date of Birth: Use the calendar icon to select the correct date.
  • Gender: Enter your gender (Male/Female)
  • Mobile Number: Should be valid and unique. You will receive your User ID and Password as an SMS on this number only.
  • Email Address: Should be valid and unique. You will receive your User ID and Password on this email address only
  • Captcha: The Captcha box is a special set of characters displayed on the screen. You will need to retype the characters in the box provided
  • Submit: By selecting the ‘Submit’ button, you are committing to be honest and fair in all your actions and information provided in the Registration Form.

Registration Confirmation

  • Within minutes of submitting the Registration Form, you will receive a User ID and password on the registered email address from the Administrator. Ensure that you check your mailbox immediately and that it is not considered as spam mail.
  • You will also receive the User ID and Password as an SMS* on the registered mobile number.
  • Using these credentials, you may proceed to complete your application. (*Please note SMS will not be sent to international numbers)


STEP 2: MD/MS APPLICATION FORM

  • After Registration the Registered Users Click on `Applicant login’ to access the Application form with a User ID and password received on your email and mobile number
  • Click on the ‘Go to Application Form’ button
  • You need to fill the section-wise application form. Once the mandatory details in a section are filled, you can move to the next section by clicking on Save and Next.
  • However, you will not be allowed to navigate to the next section, if mandatory information is not filled or the required documents are not uploaded.
  • To navigate back to the previous section, you can click on the name of the previous section tab.

Documents to be uploaded

Candidates will have to upload a scanned copy of: –

  • Recent passport size colour photo (maximum of 50-200 KB Size in JPEG/JPG format)
  • Recently scanned signature (maximum of 50-200 KB Size in JPEG/JPG format)
  • Category/Caste certificate (OBC/SC/ST/PwBD)-maximum 1 MB size, in JPG/JPEG format.(if applicable)
  • Date of birth proof document as per guidelines (Maximum 1 MB size, in JPG/JPEG format).
  • Qualifying Degree certificate (maximum 1 MB size, in JPG/JPEG format)

NOTE: Applicant must read the declaration and preview application form before submission; also they can take a printout of the application form.

STEP 3: PAYMENT OF MD/MS APPLICATION FEE

  • The applicant will be redirected to payment gateway post submission of the application form.
  • Only online payment is applicable for the transaction of exam fee using Credit/Debit Card/Net banking etc.
  • After successful transaction, a payment acknowledgement slip (with unique application sequence number, transaction ID, applicant name, category, exam fee and post applied for) will be generated and should be downloaded for any future communication regarding application form.
  • Until the payment is successfully made, the candidate will not be registered for the test.
  • Special care should be taken while making payment as a fee for application form is non-refundable under any circumstances.

STEP 4: PRINTING OF MD/MS CONFIRMATION PAGE

  • After the payment is successfully completed by the applicant, the payment page will be redirected to a page.
  • Here candidate can print the application form by clicking on Print button available at Top Right corner of the page.

NOTE: If the status of Registration Form or Admit Card is not available on the website, he/she should immediately write an email to the Registrar, PGIMER on registrar@pgimer.edu.in along with full particulars of the Registration Form. 



PGIMER MD/MS 2020 [JULY SESSION]: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA


  • Candidates must possess MBBS or an equivalent Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.
  • Completed the required period of compulsory rotating internship/Practical training on or before 31st December/30th June for January and July session respectively.
  • Must be registered with Central /State Medical Registration Council.

For Sponsored Candidates:

  • Sponsorship/deputation of candidates will be accepted only from the following:
  • Central or State Government Departments/Institutions
  • Autonomous Bodies of the Central or State Government
  • Public sector colleges affiliated to universities and recognized by the MCI.
  • Seats will be available for sponsored candidates within sponsored category only and strictly as per merit.
  • The candidate concerned shall be an employee of the deputing/ sponsoring authority and should have been working for three years.
  • That after getting training at PGIMER, Chandigarh, the candidate will be suitably employed by the deputing/sponsoring authority to work for at least five years in the speciality in which training is received by the candidate at the PGIMER.
  • No financial implications, in the form of emoluments/stipend etc. will devolve upon PGIMER, Chandigarh during the entire period of his/her course and such payment shall be the responsibility of the sponsoring authority.

For Foreign National Candidates:

  • All foreign nationals will have to take prior permission from the Medical Council of India before applying for postgraduate courses in the Institute.
  • An advance copy must be submitted at PGIMER, Chandigarh before the last date of receipt of applications through diplomatic channels.
  • A separate merit list for these candidates will be prepared within their own group.
  • On selection, the candidates have to apply for temporary registration with the Medical Council of India for the duration of postgraduate study.

Overseas Citizen of India (OCI):

  • OCI registered under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 are also eligible to appear in this test.
  • All terms and conditions applicable for Indian Nationals given in this prospectus will be applicable to them.
  • The candidate should also submit proof of Registration as OCI under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 at the time of counselling.

B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Kathmandu University and Tribhuvan University-IOM of Nepal are listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools published by the WHO and recognised by the Medical Council of India to teach MBBS and MD/MS in various specialities.

There are a significant population of Indian students studying at these institutions. These Universities [B.P. Koirala/Kathmandu University/IOM] are at par with the leading medical institutions of India and the Indian nationals do not require any visa to enter Nepal, except a valid identity document.


NEPAL-MD/MS: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR INDIAN CANDIDATES

  1. Indian candidate must have an MBBS degree from a recognised medical college and successfully completed one year of internship. The candidate must be registered with the Medical Council of India.
  2. Candidates must be provisionally registered with NMC for the period of their study exclusively for the college/institution where they are admitted.
  3. The entrance requirement for foreign candidates will be according to the rules and regulations of the concerned University; however, they should appear in PG entrance examinations conducted by B.P. Koirala/Kathmandu University/IOM[as preferred by the candidate]


NEPAL-MD/MS: SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR INDIAN CANDIDATES

  1. Candidates for Nepal-MD/MS courses shall be selected on a merit basis. The criteria for merit will be according to the University [B.P. Koirala/Kathmandu University/IOM] rules based on the PG Entrance Examination.
  2. All students including international students must take and pass the PG entrance examinations conducted by the University [B.P. Koirala/Kathmandu University/IOM]
  3. Those who secure more than 50% marks in the entrance exam are listed in the merit.
  4. Based on the marks obtained a separate merit list is prepared by the University [B.P. Koirala/Kathmandu University/IOM] for Nepalese and Foreign students and admission is granted according to the merit secured.

NEPAL-MD/MS: ENTRANCE EXAM PATTERN

Universities [B.P. Koirala/Kathmandu University/IOM] of Nepal conduct a common entrance exam every year for both Nepalese and Foreign students for PG Medical- MD/MS program for admission at their universities and affiliated colleges.

The Online Correction window for NEET-UG 2020 Application Form is once again operational on the website ntaneet.nic.in from 13/03/2020 to 19/03/2020 (up to 12.00 AM). The candidates are advised to visit the website and verify their particulars and make necessary corrections wherever required.

The aspirants of J & K who have submitted offline Application Form can also avail the correction facility in their Application Form on the website https://ntaneet.nic.in. Application number for such candidates will be shared with them separately through Email and SMS.

GENERAL MEDICINE

  • Degree Awarded- Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS)
  • Course Duration- 5 years + 1 year Internship

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR INDIAN STUDENTS AT DR. SIRAJUL ISLAM MEDICAL COLLEGE

The following is the minimum MBBS in Bangladesh eligibility criteria for admission of an Indian student at SDr. Sirajul Islam Medical College:

  • There is no entrance exam in India like IELTS/SAT, etc.
  • The student must be 17 years plus as on 31st December of the year in which the admission is being taken.
  • The student must have completed class 12th from a regular board.
  • The student must have an aggregate of at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject if the student is from the Unreserved category.
  • The student must have an aggregate of at least 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject if the student is from the Reserved category.
  • You need to clear NEET from 2019 onward for admission in any country abroad.


ADMISSION PROCESS AT DR. SIRAJUL ISLAM MEDICAL COLLEGE


Foreign students must submit their original required documents approved and recognized by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in their respective countries.

Candidates should apply at Dr. Sirajul Islam Medical College in the months of September, in order to avoid any inconvenience or delay regarding the admission procedure.

Step 1: Apply Online—We fill up your application form using the details furnished by you at our office.

  • Invitation charges

Step 2: Document verification 

  • We send attested copies of mark sheets, photographs and other required papers through the Embassy of Bangladesh in their countries or through their own foreign ministries on Candidates behalf.
  • The marks are then verified and approved and receive an equivalence certificate for eligibility by the office of Director Medical Education, HMPD, DGHS, Mohakhali, Dhaka on payment of fees.

Documents to be sent to the university

  1. All enclosures must be attested by class-1 Government Gazetted Officer.
  2. Photocopy of SSC & HSC/Equivalent examination mark sheets/Academic transcripts
  3. Photocopy of SSC & HSC/Equivalent examination certificate/Testimonial
  4. Four copies of the recent passport size coloured photographs
  5. Nationality certificate from the appropriate authority
  6. A result sheet of admission test [NEET score for Indian students]Photocopy of admit card of admission test

Step 3: Invitation letter—after receiving the documents and payment the invitation letter, admission letter and visa support letter are sent to us and we initiate the VISA processing.

Step 4: VISA processing— Along with the invitation letter from Dr. Sirajul Islam Medical College we contact the nearest Bangladesh Embassy or Consulate

  • Documents required for VISA application processing:
  1. Original Invitation letter
  2. Original International passport (valid for one year)
  3. Original Higher Secondary School Certificate(12th standard mark sheet)
  4. Date of Birth Certificate
  5. Medical certificate from any good private clinic with blood reports (HIV) Specimen attached. NOTE: Issued no more than 2 months before University studies process begin
  6. 8 Passport size Photos(white background)
  7. Visa fees.
  8. 1st-year tuition fee payment
  9. Signed authority letter (original) (for collecting Visa )
  10. Affidavit on a 10 Rs stamp paper (original) –Sponsorship affidavit, which has to contain: full name of a sponsor, his/her address, telephone numbers, e-mail, and obligation of a sponsor to cover expenses (stating sum of expenses) of an applicant
  11. Minor Affidavit on 10 Rs stamp paper from Father and mother if the student is below 18 years old.
  • Photo Copy of ID of parents giving affidavit and signatures should match everywhere with ID.
  • Bank statement in name of father or mother (6 months statement original with bank stamp on it with the minimum balance not less than 4.5 lakh Rs)
  • In case the account is opened less than 6 months then a letter from Bank Manager stating when the account was opened.
  1. In case Account holder is a student then Minimum account balances maybe 3.5 Lakh Rs.

Step 5: ARRIVAL—after getting the visa from Bangladesh embassy or Consulate, we inform students and the college about flight details with date and arrival time. One of our representatives receives the student at the airport.
