The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is a competitive exam conducted by the NTA for aspirants interested in pursuing a career in medicine and seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses all over India. Last year, NEET-UG 2020 was conducted on September 13, 2020, in pen and paper-based mode across the country with strict safety measures due to pandemic situation.

With all the competitive exam aspirants eagerly waiting for the declaration of Exam dates for various courses, a few days back it was declared by the education Ministry that JEE Main would be conducted multiple times, in four sessions – February, March, April, and May, starting from 23 to 26 February 2021, 15–18 March, 27–30 April, and 24–38 May respectively.

This move flooded the social media with the demands from medical aspirants that NEET UG 2021 to be held multiple times in a year. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has finally given the nod and decided to conduct the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG Exam twice from this year onwards.

NEET UG 2021 Syllabus

With a reduction in the syllabus for most of the Class 12 Board examinations this year the students were concerned about the NEET 2021 Syllabus. The Education Minister has clarified that the syllabus for the competitive examination has not been changed and it has been decided to provide internal choice to students for the topics removed.

NEET UG 2021 Exam Mode

As per some sources, in a meeting with officials from the Ministry of Education and the National Testing Agency the conducting body of the test the NEET 2021 Exam Mode was discussed to conduct in online or offline mode but no decisions have been made yet regarding the same.

NEET UG 2021 Score calculation

The decision to conduct the NEET UG 2021 twice will be beneficial to a lot of students. It has been told that the Candidates who appear for both the sessions will be awarded the best score out of two, as in the case followed while evaluating JEE Main scores.
