NEET 2019:Calculate NEET score from NEET answer key


NEET exam will be conducted by NTA on May 5, 2019 and the unofficial answer key will be available online on the day of the exam itself.

The answer key of NEET 2019 is issued code-wise meaning the answer keys will be available for papers of each language of NEET question paper 2019.

Candidates can compare the responses given in the NEET answer key 2019 with the responses submitted by them in the OMR sheet of NEET.

Candidates are recommended to mark each response in the NEET question paper that they are marking in the OMR sheet to compare later on with the NEET answer key 2019 and calculate their NEET 2019 score before the declaration of the official NEET result.

These answer key of NEET 2019 will be unofficial and the official NEET answer key 2019 will be released by NTA online a week before the declaration of the result around last week of May.

Candidates will have an option to challenge the official NEET answer key 2019 with the help of unofficial ones if they are unsatisfied with the responses.

After the release of official NEET 2019 answer key the OMR sheet of the candidates will also be made available which can also be challenged by the candidates.

Revised NEET answer key 2019 will be released about a week after the declaration of result, the release of revised answer key by NTA depends on the acceptance of the challenge made by the candidates.


Steps to calculate NEET score from NEET answer key

The candidates can use the official answer key of NEET 2019 to calculate their probable NEET score. Given below are the steps that should be followed while calculating the NEET score.

  • After NEET answer key 2019 is released, candidates can compare the answers marked by them (in the OMR sheet) with the answers in the official answer key of NEET 2019.
  • It is vital to check the code of the question paper and answer key while comparing. The sets and language of NEET 2019 answer key are mentioned at the top of the OMR sheet and the answer keys.
  • Calculate the total number of correct and incorrect responses. In case more than one answer is marked for a question, it must consider as an ‘unanswered’ response.
  • To calculate the score of NEET 2019 Use the formula given below :

          NEET 2018 Score= [4*(Number of Correct Responses)] – [1*(Number of Incorrect Responses)]
