MEC NEPAL HAS STARTED MBBS APPLICATION PROCESS & RELEASED EXAM DATE: CHECK THE IMPORTANT DETAILS - Shreet Career Guidance Services Pvt. Ltd.

The Medical Education Commission of Nepal has released the schedule for the Nepal Common Entrance Examination of Bachelor Level in Health Professional Education (MECEE-BL 2023) on 2nd January 2023. The online application will commence from January 08, 2023 at 10:00 AM till February 07, 2023 at 5:00 PM (NST).
This common entrance exam i.e. MECEE-BL 2023 is necessary for admission in desired Bachelor Level course in Health Profession in Nepal. Local and Foreign Candidates can fill out the online application form for selection in the professional Health programs run by all Universities, affiliated colleges, and Health Science Academies throughout the country. The qualified students get to choose college and subjects during the counseling session held by MEC Nepal depending upon the merit scored.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR MECEE-BL 2023

The candidate should have passed grade 12 or equivalent Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology scoring a minimum of 50% aggregate in total marks or a CGPA of 2.4 or equivalent.

Secured the percentage equivalent to the above eligibility in regards to the certificate level programs (e.g., A-Level) with different grading systems.
All candidates should secure at least 50th percentile or above in the entrance examination to qualify.
Foreign candidates who want to take admission based on the scores of the national level entrance examination of their respective countries must have secured at least 50th percentile or above (or 50% marks in case the result is in a percentage system).
The first priority will be given to those candidates who appear in the entrance examination conducted by Medical Education Commission

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR MECEE-BL 2023

A separate counseling Notice will be published by the MEC Nepal in due time for the eligible candidates to set their priority of colleges.
A computer-based matching will be done on the basis of merit and the candidate’s priority among the available seats.
The first priority will be given to those candidates who appear in the entrance examination conducted by Medical Education Commission
If the seat falls vacant for MECEE-BL qualified foreign candidates matching will be done among those who have passed the national level entrance examination of their respective countries.
The remaining seats after completion of the matching of foreign candidates will be transferred to Nepalese open (paying) seats.

NOTE:

Foreign candidates who are selected for admission are required to produce original documents at the time of admission.
Candidates who submit fake information/documents will be liable for legal actions as per prevailing rules and regulations of Nepal.

SEAT DISTRIBUTION FOR FOREIGN CANDIDATES

The available seats for the foreign candidates in the above academic programs will be up to:

8.25% of the seats in Government colleges
33% of the seats in Private colleges run by the Nepalese management
50% of the seats in Private colleges run by Nepalese and foreign management

Nepali candidates: NPR 5000/-
Indian/ Foreign candidates: NPR 8000/-

HOW TO FILL MECEE-BL 2023 APPLICATION FORM

Firstly, the Applicants need to pay the entrance fee in the account of Himalayan Bank Limited within the prescribed deadline i.e. 10:00 AM (NST), January 08, 2023 to 5:00 PM (NST), February 05, 2023.
The Bank voucher/payment slip should clearly contain the transaction number and the applicant’s mobile number.
Subsequently, the candidates can fill out the online application form from January 08, 2023 at 10:00 AM to February 07, 2023 at 5:00 PM (NST). The application can only be submitted online through the official website of MEC Nepal.
Once the application is filled, the necessary documents are to be uploaded and the self-declaration is to be done.
Once submitted the application cannot be edited. However, applicants can re-apply by uploading a new bank voucher/payment slip.
A Confirmation Page will be displayed after verification of bank payment. It should be saved/printed as proof for Online Form submission for future reference.

Related Professional Council Registration Certificate (as required)

Certificate/s Issued by Concern Authority for Reservation Category
Scanned Copy of the Candidate’s Signature

NOTE:

Image should be in JPEG format and the maximum image file size is (200 KB)
Documents should be in PDF format with size up to 500KB

POINTS TO REMEMBER

Eligible candidates can apply for more than one program with separate bank payments and application forms as per the above examination schedule.
There will be a separate merit list for each academic Program. However, after matching and admission, his/her name will be deleted from all the merit lists.
All foreign candidates should fill up the online form as stated within the due date compulsorily mentioning their priority.
The candidates should choose only one of the following options while filling up the online application form:

Candidates appearing in MECEE-BL 2023.
Candidates not appearing in MECEE-BL 2023 but conditionally opt to apply on the basis of obtained rank in the recently conducted national level common entrance examination of their respective countries.

Click “Check Application Status”
Fill in the requisite details
Take the printout of the admit card
Students can print their admit card 5 days before the entrance examination date
Details of the exam center will be mentioned in the admit card

MECEE-BL 2023 ENTRANCE EXAM RULES

The examination center will be mentioned in the admit card.
Candidates have to report at their respective examination centers at least two hours before the examination.
Candidate should appear in the examination center with admit card and identification document (Passport or Aadhaar card) as mentioned in the online form.
No ornament, jewel, or electrical appliance/accessories will be allowed in the examination hall.
Candidates are not allowed to take a pen or any stationery with them, they are supposed to use the gel pen provided in the examination hall.
Candidates can be examined physically or electronically before entering the examination center.
No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after 15 minutes of the beginning of the examination.
No candidates are permitted to leave examination hall before completion of examination hours.
