BGC Trust Medical College is a government approved non-profit educational institute, run by the Begum Gul Chemonara (BGC) Trust. Established in 2002, the College is a seat of modern medical education with remarkable reputation. Situated in Chandanaish, Chittagong the college has become a reliable center for medical education equipped with all modern facilities and professional management. The college is situated at a distance of 34 kilometers from Chittagong Port City in a serene and lush green environment.

BGC Trust Medical College is approved by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh and is affiliated to the Chittagong Medical University. BGC is recognized by National Medical Council of India (NMC) & World Health Organization (WHO). The college is also listed in World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) and International Medical Education Directory (IMED).

EDUCATION METHODOLOGY

The Practical training for students is carried out in small groups of 4-5 students. This Integrated teaching is carried out in wards, OPDs, OT, POW, ED, ICU, etc and the practice sessions make use of manuals, patient examination, and maintaining logbooks etc.

BGC Trust Medical College carries out the MBBS education on the syllabus laid down by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC). The medium of 5-year MBBS course is English and the 1 year Internship can be completed at 650 bedded attached college hospital Ibrahim Iqbal Memorial Hospital Ltd.

The degree awarded to the Indian students is approved by the NMC (India) and they can easily practice in India after the completion of the course by taking the appropriate licensure exam.

There are two full AC dissection halls with modern facilities to dissect Cadavers and well furnished Anatomy Museum, Morgue, Pathology Museum, Histology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, and Microbiology & Pharmacology Laboratory for pre and para clinical training.
