ADMISSION PROCESS AT UV GULLAS COLLEGE OF MEDICINE PHILIPPINES


STEP 1: Applying online

Candidate needs to submit the application form along with the documents mentioned below at the Office

Documents needed for the initial evaluation:

  1. Completed Application Form and Personal History
  2. Photocopy of Transcript of Records
  3. Photocopy of National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) result
  4. For non-native English speakers, English Proficiency Test marks.
  5. Application Fee (non-refundable)

STEP 2: Evaluation of documents at Dean Office

The Submitted documents will be evaluated and the applicant will be informed of the status of his/her application. If the applicant is qualified, the UV Gullas College of Medicine will send the following documents:

  1. Notice of Acceptance (NOA)*
  2. Personal History Statement forms for the applicant to fill-up (6 copies)
  3. Certificate of Eligibility for Admission (CEA) form for the applicant to fill-up

STEP 3: Authentication by the Philippine Foreign Service Post (PFSP)

The original documents listed above should be completed and mailed back to the Office of UV Gullas College of Medicine along with documents listed below duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post (PFSP) in your home country:

  1. Official transcript of records and diploma
  2. Notarized Affidavit of Support from parents/legal guardian, including bank statements or notarized notice of grant for institutional scholars to cover applicant’s expenses for school dues, accommodation, subsistence and other incidental expenses
  3. Photocopy of Passport pages where the name, photo, birthdate, birthplace are clearly mentioned
  4. Student’s Personal History Statement (6 copies) with 2 x 2 recently taken photograph
  5. Police Clearance issued by the National Police Authorities in the student’s country of origin or residence
  6. Birth certificate

NOTE: The above-mentioned documents should be completed and mailed back to the Office of UV Gullas College of Medicine at least 30 days prior to the start of the academic year.



STEP 4: Issuance of Student visa

  • UV Gullas College of Medicine endorses the above documents to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Manila, together with the NOA and CHED-approved CEA for processing.
  • After approval, the DFA notifies the Foreign Service Post for the issuance of a student visa.
  • The applicant then has to appear in person before the Philippine Foreign Service Post over the place for an interview.

Documents required for VISA

The following documents are required for the issuance of a Philippines Student Visa:

  1. Original copy of the school’s Notice of Acceptance issued by the Office of the Dean containing a clear impression of the school’s official dry seal and addressed to the student
  2. Letter from the School Registrar requesting the issuance of a Student Visa 9(f) to the applicant addressed to: “The Director of the Visa Division – Office of Consular Affairs Department of Foreign Affairs”
  3. Six copies of the original Personal History Statement duly accomplished and signed by the applicant, both in English and his national language, accompanied by a personal seal and containing candidate’s original left and right thumbprints
  4. 2” x 2” photograph on plain white background taken not more than six months prior to submission
  5. Transcript of Records/Scholastic Records, duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence
  6. Notarized Affidavit of Support, including bank statements or notarized notice of grant for institutional scholars to cover applicant’s expenses for school dues, accommodation, subsistence and other incidental expenses;
  7. Original copy of the CEA approved by the CHED
  8. Visa Application form (FA form no. 2)
  9. Medical Certificate (FA form no. 11)
  10. Chest x-ray, laboratory report and clearance certificate for the AIDS antibody (HIV test)
  11. Police Clearance from the local police authorities where the applicant has been permanently residing for the last five years
  12. Guarantee coverage of return fare and other incidental expenses;
  13. Life-size chest x-ray film;
  14. Eight copies of 2 x 2 coloured photos;
  15. Unexpired passport

STEP 5: Enrollment at UV Gullas College of Medicine

Students may now enrol at the UV Gullas College of Medicine by submitting the following documents at the Registrar’s Office:

  1. Student Visa
  2. Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) from the Bureau of Immigration (issued upon presentation of the student visa)
  3. Photocopy of the passport


DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION AT UV GULLAS COLLEGE OF MEDICINE


A foreign national applying for admission to the University shall be required to submit the following documents:

  • Duly filled application of College Admission Form
  • Photocopy of the Passport valid not less than six (6) months beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines
  • Official Transcript of Records authenticated at the Philippine Embassy of the country of origin of the applicant
  • Affidavit of sponsorship by parent/s or legal guardian to be authenticated in the Philippine Embassy
  • 8 photographs (2×2 sized)
  • Photocopy of Certificate of Good Moral Character authenticated at the Philippines Embassy
  • Photocopy of the Medical Health Certificate issued by an authorized physician including standard-size chest X-ray, HIV test, and Hepatitis-B clearance
  • National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NCI) Clearance;
  • National Medical Admission Test (NMA) results
  • Diploma or Certificate of Graduation from an allied collegiate course (if applicable)
  • Application for Transfer/ Another Degree Form (for transfer students)
  • For non-native English speakers, applicants are required to take and pass the English Proficiency Test.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR INDIAN STUDENTS AT UV GULLAS COLLEGE OF MEDICINE


The following is the minimum MBBS in Philippines eligibility criteria for admission of an Indian student at UV Gullas College of Medicine: 

  • The student must be 17 years plus as on 31st December of the year in which the admission is being taken.
  • The student must have completed class 12th from a regular board.
  • The student must have an aggregate of at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject if the student is from the General category.
  • The student must have an aggregate of at least 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject if the student is from the reserved category.
  • You need to clear NEET for admission in any country abroad.
