International Medical College (IMC) was established in the year 2000 with recognition from the Ministry of Health and Family Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh & is affiliated with the University of Dhaka which is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

The International Medical College & Hospital is located on the outskirts of the commercial township of Tongi in the Gazipur District and is about 22 km away from the city centre of Dhaka. The major bus stands/terminals, railway station and Shahjalal International Airport are within 30 min distance. It is only a 2hrs 45mins flight from New Delhi to Dhaka.

The Medium of instruction is English. MBBS Course duration will be 5 years followed by a compulsory 1-year Internship. The students undergo 11 months and 15 days training at International Medical College Hospital (IMCH) and 15 days at Upazilla Health Complex. During internship training subsistence allowances are given to the interns.
