“Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is a centre of education, science and culture in the highly-developed industrial Dnipropetrovsk region with a 4th accreditation level. One of the oldest educational institutions in Ukraine, the academy was founded on the 15th of September 1916. During its years of existence, the University has successfully prepared more than 50 thousand doctors, pharmacists and nurses.
Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy started training foreign citizens in medical specialities from 1990. Since 2003 the academy has been carrying out training of foreign citizens in English medium for “General medicine” faculty. The duration of the English medium MD course (equivalent MBBS in India) for International students is 6 years. Graduates of the University can practice in India or in any part of the world as a qualified Doctor by taking applicable licensing exam of the country.
Recognition and accreditation
The University is approved by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Public health, Ukraine and the Medical Council of India (MCI). It is a member of the European Association of the International Medical Education, actively cooperates with World Health Organization (WHO) and Listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools, International Medical Education Directory (IMED), FAIMER, etc.
Teaching Methodology
Theoretical training at Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy is provided at audiences and clinical halls with multimedia systems, smart TVs, supported by a wide range of anatomical macro and micro preparations, models and laboratory systems. Modern teaching technologies used for carrying out advance medical education are technical imaging tools, manikins, models, simulators, etc.
Practical Training
The centre of practical training for students and interns was introduced in 2013. It is a modern centre which is spread in more than 1200 sqm. with 22 departments and 495 educational places. The centre is equipped with high-tech medical models, phantoms, training devices for the application of simulation, computers and interactive technologies for mastering the main practical skills.

At present, there are 2000 + International students from 40+ countries studying in Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy in Undergraduate and Postgraduate fields.
