The FACULTY FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS at POLTAVA NATIONAL MEDICAL AND DENTAL UNIVERSITY was established by the University as part of its commitment towards globalisation of its education programs and activities.

In 1997 POLTAVA NATIONAL MEDICAL AND DENTAL UNIVERSITY management extended a separate dean’s office for foreign students and consequently dean’s office for foreign students was converted to complete Faculty for International Students. At that time students were allowed to study only in Russian medium of instruction in medical and dental faculties.

Since 2001 POLTAVA NATIONAL MEDICAL AND DENTAL UNIVERSITY started teaching foreign students in English language on their demand. Now at Academy presently foreign students are studying in both English and Russian languages as per their choice.

Faculty for International Students has introduced a Premedical Department for foreign students who wish to study in Russian language their further courses.

The International students department provides facilities and services for the support of foreign students. The International Department comprises of a staff group who network with the University’s Academic Departments, Corporate and Student Services on behalf of foreign students.

Faculty for International Students at POLTAVA NATIONAL MEDICAL AND DENTAL UNIVERSITY provides course advice for potential students, assists with the admission and enrollment of international students at college and provides ongoing academic, cultural, social and personal support for international students. Whether enquiries are of an educational, personal, legal, social, cultural or financial nature, the staff will be able to assist.

Faculty for International Students is the focal point for international students and can advise on all matters relating to accommodation, arrival services, orientation, and medical insurance and general concerns. This means providing course information and giving advice on living and studying in Poltava as efficiently as possible.

The total strength of foreign students at POLTAVA NATIONAL MEDICAL AND DENTAL UNIVERSITY is more than 1500 students from 57 countries in the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and post-graduate course. The range of countries from which foreign students come to study at the university is very diverse.
