FACULTIES AT MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF WARSAW
The faculties at the Medical University of Warsaw meet the requirements of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland and are recognised by the Medical Council of a number of countries including India’s MCI.
PREMED COLLEGE
Course Duration- 2 Years
The Pre Med program provides an intensive English language and Polish language course along with preparatory courses in biology, anatomy, physics and chemistry.
Medical School Preparation Programme (MSPP) includes:
- One-year English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course providing intensive language teaching. Basic polish language helping the Students to talk about selected diseases, their symptoms and diagnostics with the local patients during clinical training.
- Medical University of Warsaw Premed College also offers a one-year preparation programme for prospective students of the medical school in biology, anatomy, physics and chemistry which prepares them to get admission at the MD programs.
Classes are taught by the University’s faculties and guest lecturers’ specialist in that field.
PREPARATORY SCHOOL
Course Duration- 33-weeks
The Medical University of Warsaw’s preparatory school offers a preparation programme in English language OR Polish language for candidates to arrange for studying various programs at the Polish Universities.
The Polish language programme is intended for those international candidates who want to study in the Polish language for their future study course and career.
The English language programme is intended for the development of all language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and to learn grammar and language needed for studying at universities in English.
FACULTY OF PHARMACY
Course Duration- 5 years
For more than ninety years the Pharmacy faculty at the Medical University of Warsaw has been engaged in education and researches in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. It has graduated several generations of well-educated pharmacists who have been working in research and development fields as well as in the healthcare system.
The students benefit greatly from the innovative optional teaching programs: analytical pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, industrial pharmacy and pharmaceutical biotechnology, drug design, pharmaceutical cosmetology with aesthetic medicine, pharmaceutical and environmental toxicology.
Today the faculty is recognized as one of the leading academic centres in Poland and enjoys a national and international reputation for research and innovation, advanced teaching, clinical and experiential placements as well as business skills programs.
FACULTY OF DENTISTRY
Course Duration- 5 years
The faculty of dentistry of the Medical University of Warsaw has been teaching Dental medicine at the University since 1809 and the English Dentistry Division was established in 2012.
The dental program is taught at the EU standards by inculcating lectures, seminars, and practical classes. Each year on completion of the course, students are required to take a mandatory 4 -week summer practical training included in the curriculum.
After graduation students obtain a DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree and receive a diploma recognized in many leading countries. Graduates can also continue their career at the Medical University of Warsaw as a research scientist or a teaching faculty.
FACULTY OF MEDICINE
Course Duration- 6 years
The English Division of the Second Faculty of Medicine was established in 1993 at the Medical University of Warsaw for students to studying medicine in the English language.
Basic science and pre-medical training of the English Division students are provided in the form of lectures, seminars and practical classes at more than 70 well-established departments and clinics of the Medical University of Warsaw and affiliated organisations.
Clinical training facilities at affiliated hospitals are regularly evaluated in order to ensure the effectiveness and high quality of practical training.
The graduates of the Medical Faculty are awarded the MD degree recognized in the European Union, USA, Canada, Medical Council of India (MCI) and most other Medical Councils of leading countries around the world.
The teaching staff of the University’s Second Faculty of Medicine work as researches or medical practitioners at the University’s basic science, pre-clinical and clinical departments.
