Dnipro Medical Institute of Conventional and Alternative Medicine offers Medicine and Dentistry courses in English for international students. Dnipro Medical Institute of Conventional and Alternative Medicine should not be confused with Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy, a state university located in the same city of Dnipro. Dnipro Medical Institute of Conventional and Alternative Medicine is known for its world standard education and skilled doctors, it has a very good reputation compared to other Ukrainian medical schools to study MBBS abroad.

The university recently began marketing itself globally to attract international talent. The university has put itself on the map by winning awards and affirming itself on the international stage for medical research. Throughout 2017, the university encouraged students to take part in groundbreaking research on alcohol effect on stem cells. which was later published in the most prestigious journal in medicine, Nature (journal). The university has received several grants for its leading position in medical research carried out by its renowned Medical Professors in Ukraine. In January 2018, the Medical faculty received a 2 million investment from the European Commission for its breakthrough research in antimicrobial resistance . Dnipropetrovsk State Medical University is the only in all over Ukraine, providing training to students in all seven faculties and preparatory department for foreign citizens studying MBBS in Ukraine.

Throughout its history the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) has trained about 49 000 doctors, dentists, pharmacists and nurses-bachelors.

Since 1996, the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) is headed by Academician of Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Professor G.V. Dzyak.

At present 4500 students are studying MBBS in Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA), among them are 700 students from 36 countries are getting training in different specialities, among them mostly students are from Jordan, Syria, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sudan, Palestine, China, Morocco, Lebanon, Kenya, Ghana and others.
