UNDERGRADUATE COURSE AT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

Doctor of Medicine (MD equivalent to MBBS in India)–General Medicine

Course Duration– 5 years (ten semesters)

Medium of instruction– English

The instruction, lab work, lectures and examinations are conducted entirely in English

Learning the Russian language is mandatory during the first three years of the program, for students to be able to communicate efficiently with local people during their practical training.

Teaching from the third year on takes place exclusively in clinical settings of university’s modern facilities including hospitals and involves working with patients admitted for treatment.

Practical training is conducted by hands-on, in-clinic education and pre-graduation internship.

The last year of medical studies is exclusively for practical purposes, students work under the direct guidance of the assistants and instructors with high academic positions at the clinics.

After the successful completion of the 5-years of academic studies in the Program of medicine graduates are conferred the Doctoral degree with the professional qualification of “General Medicine”- Doctor of Medicine.

POSTGRADUATE COURSE AT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) -Residence Program ( Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Traumatology and orthopedics, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine)

Physicians will be trained in chosen medical specialties with focus on development of clinical skills and professional competencies.

PGME programs are conducted in hospitals or other health care institutions, and for most specialties, use both inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Course duration– 3 Years
