Medical Education Board Nepal is similar to NBE in India which conducts NEET PG entrance exam for admission to various PG Medical courses in India. Medical Education Board Nepal is going to conduct a common entrance exam for Medical PG seats in March 2020 for all students. There will be only one entrance exam for all Postgraduate Colleges and Universities (Tribhuvan University,  Kathmandu University, BPKIHS, NAMS PAHS). Qualified students will get to choose college and subjects during the counselling session.

The students will give a single exam for the Postgraduate Medical Degree and based on the merit scored they can choose college accordingly. This exam will also be applicable for Indian students, no such confirmatory decision has been made. However, it is confirmed that this board shall conduct the same exam along with Nepalese students. There will be a single exam for both IOM or BPKIHS and respective seats will be allotted according to the merit scored.

Based on availability of foreign seats and merit of students in entrance exam they will have to appear for the counselling and choose subjects accordingly.

काठमाडौं- चिकित्सा शिक्षा आयोगले स्नातकोत्तर तह (पिजी)को साझा प्रवेश परीक्षा (कमन इन्ट्रान्स एक्जाम) चैतमा गर्ने तयारी गरेको छ।
आयोगले यसका लागि आवश्यक प्रक्रिया अगाडी बढाइसकेको आयोगका उपाध्यक्ष डा श्रीकृष्ण गिरीले जानकारी दिए।
‘यो वर्षदेखि हामीले पिजीमा साझा प्रवेश परीक्षा लिने भएका छौं’, उनले भने ‘यसको तयारी अगाडि बढीसकेको छ। परीक्षाको मिती र अन्य प्रक्रियाका विषयमा हामी छिट्टै जानकारी गराउनेछौं।’
उनका अनुसार चैतमा परीक्षा लिने गरी काम अगाडि बढाइएको छ।
उनले विद्यार्थीहरुलाई अलमलमा नपर्न पनि आग्रह गरेका छन्।
‘कसैले छुट्टाछुट्टै परीक्षा हुन्छ भन्छ भने त्यो गलत कुरा हो,’ उनले भने, ‘त्यसकारण कोही विद्यार्थी पनि अलमलमा पर्नु पर्दैन। चैतमा साझा परीक्षा हुन्छ। परीक्षाको तयारीमा विद्यार्थी लाग्दा हुन्छ।’
यसअघि पिजीका लागि विश्वविद्याल र प्रतिष्ठानहरुले छुट्टाछुट्टै परीक्षा गर्दै आएका थिए।
आयोगले पिजीपछि एमबिबिएस र बिडिएसको पनि साझा परीक्षा गर्ने प्रक्रिया अगाडि बढाएको छ।
