Founded in 1992, Kazakh-Russian Medical University is one of the largest private higher education institutions in the country located in the large city of Almaty, Kazakhstan. The University was initially named Kazakhstan Medical Institute (KMI) which was later renamed as Kazakh-Russian Medical University.
Kazakh-Russian Medical University has passed state certification four times (1998, 2003, 2007, and 2012) and issues a state diploma. The educational curriculum is prepared according to the state standard of education implementing novel forms of teaching methods aimed at improving higher medical education in the Republic.
Kazakh-Russian Medical University is a reputed medical institution offering courses and programs officially recognized and accredited by the Ministry of education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, World Health Organization (WHO), Medical Council of Canada (MCC)and the Medical Council of India (MCI).
The University is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) and Students and graduates of Kazakh-Russian Medical University are eligible to apply for ECFMG Certification and examination required for practising Medicine in USA.
The educational process is carried out by more than 200 experienced teachers, among who are world-famous doctors and renowned Kazakhstani and foreign scientists. Students of Kazakh-Russian Medical University have the opportunity to undergo training and practice abroad through academic mobility programs.
The students are taught in academic groups of only 6-10 people for better student-teacher interaction. Courses at Kazakh-Russian Medical University are imparted in 3 languages – Kazakh, Russian, and English. Specialized training rooms for classes based on innovative educational technologies are available for everyone.
