Texila American University (TAU) is an international medicine school that provides world-class education and student training. Established in the year 2010 in Guyana, South America at present students from more than 40 nationalities and countries are pursuing medicine program in the thriving new TAU campus.

Texila American University provides the opportunity to pursue prominent medical programs with hands-on clinical training and advanced infra. Texila American University is under Curriculum Partnership with Ponce Health Sciences University (PHSU) in Ponce, Puerto Rico, United States of America for the Doctor of Medicine Program.

Founded in 1977,Ponce Health Sciences University offers a number of medicine programs, along with its MD program, that includes PhD degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Clinical Psychology; a PsyD in Clinical Psychology; a Master in Public Health (MPH); a Master of Science in Medical Sciences (MSMS); and a DrPH in Epidemiology. The university also the homes Ponce Research Institute, an internationally recognized institute that performs researches in the area of cancer, child and adolescent anxiety disorders, infectious disease, virology and immunology.

Under the collaboration, Students will follow the curriculum that adequately prepares them with a progressive education model that follows the USA standards. Students are taught based on flipped classroom model- in this short video lectures are provided at home prior to class sessions; in-class time is devoted to exercises, projects, or discussions that makes the class more engaging and interactive. This union enables the students to make it easier for them to match their Residency in USA.

The aim of partnership between Texila American University and Ponce Health Sciences University is to enrich the medical training of Texila’s students so they can better serve their communities and if they wish to practice medicine in the United States the curriculum can effectively prepare them with a pioneering education that adheres to U.S. standards. Inbuilt USMLE Training is also offered for the MD students if they wish to practice in USA.
