Vinnitsa National Medical University Ukraine
Vinnitsa National Medical University was founded in 1921 and in 1960 the institution was named after M.I.Pirogov. In 1994, the Vinnytsya Medical Institute was certified and accredited to the IV level of accreditation the highest level of accreditation given by the Ministry of Health and Education, Ukraine. In 2002 university acquired the status of the national university and was officially renamed as National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya.
Vinnitsa National Medical University has been training proficient doctors for 90 years. In this period about 44 thousand specialists have been trained, who are working in Ukraine itself and also in other parts of the world.
Since 1961, Vinnytsia National Pirogov Memorial Medical University has been training foreign nationals. At present, the medical university is training 6250 students, including 2080 foreigners. In total, about 44000 doctors, among them, 2100 specialists of the highest level, including more than 7500 foreign citizens from 106 foreign countries of Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, etc have been trained.
Vinnytsia National Medical University has a highly competent academic staff with academic degrees and titles. Students are trained by 126 doctors of sciences and 677 candidates of sciences. There are 25 Honored Scientists and Technicians of Ukraine, Honored Workers of Higher Education and Education of Ukraine, 3 Academicians of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, 12 Honored Doctors of Ukraine, and 5 Winners of the State Prize of Ukraine.
The University has 12 scientific schools and supports creative contacts and collaboration with medical faculties of universities of 19 foreign countries (including the USA, Germany, France, England, Russia, etc.)
MBBS course duration at Vinnytsia National Medical University is 6 years and the medium of instruction is English, Ukrainian and Russian.
Vinnitsa National Medical University maintains close links with clinical departments of 28 foreign pharmaceutical companies. Teachers of the departments are involved in the implementation of 62 international projects.
University covers a total area of 80,896 sq. m. on which there are:
