Medical studies in Nepal is similar to Indian syllabus and strictly follow MCI syllabus and Indian medical books. The duration of the course for pursuing medical in Nepal is same as in India. There are professors and lecturers in Nepal who are from India. Since a long time Indians are studying Medicine in Nepal, especially students from the northern part of India.
Currently Nepal has 21 medical schools and annual intake capacity of around 2,000 MBBS students.

- Minimum age 17 years
- The students must score minimum 50 % marks in their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board/university with the Physics, Chemistry, Biology and compulsory English.
- Must be NEET-UG qualified.
- Valid Indian Passport and no Visa required.
- Valid MCI
These are the fixed scores which are needed for the students in order to get admission in Nepal for MBBS. Any aggregate less than mentioned above will not be acceptable.

MCI approved medical colleges in Nepal, the Supreme Court have ruled is Kathmandu University, Tribhuvan University, Patan Academy of Health Sciences and B.P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. All these universities have different medical colleges under them that provide MBBS courses to the students. Students are selected on the basis of the merit list. Scholarship Programs are also offered to the students.
